By making this booking, you confirm that you have read and accept the rental terms and conditions.
At the rental point, customers will also sign a rental agreement before taking the key. It is important that you read the agreement carefully. If anything is unclear, discuss it with the staff at the counter before signing.
The hire company reserves the right to refuse a car if, in the opinion of the staff at the counter, the driver is not fit to drive or a member of the group is violent, threatening or in any way endangering the health and safety of others. In such a case, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Please refer to the "What you need to pick up a vehicle" section above and note that the staff at the counter will not provide a car if all requirements (age, driver's license, payment card, documents, etc.) are not met. In such a case, you will not be entitled to any refund or compensation.
Before you leave, you must check the car and make sure that you have reported any damages to the staff at the counter and they have been noted on the rental agreement. Otherwise, you may be held responsible for this damage.
Road rules
When you rent a car, you agree to use it responsibly. You must not:
Seat belt - Wherever you drive, the driver and passengers must wear seat belts, if available, wherever they sit in the car.
You should be aware that all cars have a no-smoking policy. Fines will be imposed if this policy is not observed.
To make sure you understand the rules and laws for driving a hire car at home and abroad, it is important to read the Terms & Conditions in full before you go to collect your car.
In particular, please make sure you know what documents and other forms you need to take with you (e.g. driving licence, passport - ID documents, payment card) and what you will have to pay at the car rental company's cash desk. If you don't have everything you need, the car rental company may not allow you to take the car.
If you plan to drive in a city, there may be traffic restrictions based on your car's license plate, so tell the staff at the counter when you pick up your car.
On the road
Accident or Damage - In the event of a breakdown, accident or mechanical problem, you should call the car rental company immediately. They will have to authorize you to repair or replace the car. Please keep copies of all documents you will be asked to complete. These may... be necessary if you want to make a claim for money. For accidents, a police report and an incident report will be required to hand in to the car rental company's cashier.
If you have problems with the rental car, call the rental company.
Car Rental Company Important Information
Price calculation
Please note that the exchange rate is subject to fluctuations, which cannot be influenced by anyone in the car rental industry. Therefore, account activity may include charges that do not exactly match the price quoted at the time of booking. The same applies to any refund you may receive.
Price Calculation - Prices are based on the pick-up and delivery times and dates you agree prior to the start of your rental. If you choose to pick up the car later or bring it back earlier, there is no refund for unused time.
If, on collection, you choose to take a different car, there may be an additional charge - even if the new car is smaller than the one you booked.
Fines
An Immobilisation Fee is payable and mandatory in the event of an accident. This is in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount and is compulsory. This charge is calculated according to the category of car and the number of days of repair.
Lost Keys - If you lose your key(s), you will be charged the cost of replacement.
If you have not returned the car after the agreed delivery time, the insurance will no longer apply. In addition, you will be charged a fine as well as the cost of an extra day's rental.
Grace period
You must be at the rental point by the time of pick-up: if you are late, the car may no longer be available and you will not be entitled to a refund. If you think you may be late, it is very important that you contact the rental company at least 30 minutes before the pick-up time, even if this is due to a delayed flight and you have provided your flight number.
In the event of a delay, reservations are considered guaranteed for 59 minutes from the specified reservation time. They are then marked as no-shows.
Pay locally for extra equipment
As mentioned in the booking process, any extra equipment (child seats, GPS etc.) either:
Extra Equipment Conditions
Extra equipment is subject to sales tax and local taxes.
If any of the extra equipment is lost, damaged or stolen, you will pay a replacement charge.
If the car is picked up from one location and delivered to another, the rental company may charge a car return fee to a different location to cover the cost of returning the extra equipment to the original location.
Please note: counter staff are not trained (or allowed) to install infant/child/booster seats. You will need to place them yourself.

Fuel policies
Same fuel on receipt-delivery
On receipt of the car, the vehicle's fuel tank will either be full or have some fuel in it. You will leave a deposit to cover the cost of the fuel: the staff at the counter will block this amount on your credit card. Just before you return the car, please fill in the fuel you have used.
If you return your car with less fuel than you had when you picked it up, the car rental company will withhold part or all of your deposit to cover the fuel shortage. It will cost you more than the amount you would have paid to fill the tank yourself. In addition to the cost of fuel, you pay a non-refundable fuel service charge of €27.23 inclusive.
If you are low on fuel when you deliver the car, you will be charged both a refuelling fee and the cost of the missing fuel (at the current market price per litre/gallon).
Electric cars
Your car will be fully charged when you collect it (around 80%) and you may have to pay a deposit for the recharging cable. Before you hand over the car, make sure it is charged according to the rental agreement. Otherwise, there may be additional towing/damage charges if it is discharged on the way to the charging station.
Coverage information
When you collect the car, please make sure you read the terms and conditions before signing the rental agreement, including terms for any additional products you may have purchased at the counter. It is important that you understand the exclusions and limitations of the agreement/policy and the rules regarding anything you pay for at the rental counter.
Warranty/Discharge
When you pick up your car, the staff at the counter will ask for a warranty on the car. They may also require a deposit for the fuel in the tank and for certain extras (e.g. child seat or GPS). After the rental is complete, the deposit will be returned to you
Due to exchange rate fluctuations and other possible bank charges, the car rental company cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded.
Damage Insurance (CDW) and Theft Insurance are waived. The deductible is the amount you will have to pay before the policy will cover the remaining cost (for anything covered by the policy).
Additional Coverage
At the car rental counter you may decide to buy extra cover to reduce or remove your excess or to cover what Damage Damage Waiver (CDW) does not cover, such as tyres and windscreens.
Please note: If you do this, the contract will be between you and the car hire company - so you will need to contact them if you are unhappy with the policy or the cover they provide.
If you are involved in a 'single vehicle accident' and/or the bodywork is badly damaged, the amount of the excess will be higher.
Settlement Coverage
Please make sure you read the terms and conditions of the coverage you receive when you sign the rental agreement at the time of pick-up to learn about the exclusions and limits of this policy.
These Policies usually exclude things like windscreens, crystals, rims, tyres, undercarriage, interior, personal effects, towing charges & off-road driving damage - as well as any 'additional equipment' hired from the car hire company, such as child seats and GPS devices.
Please note that your cover will be cancelled by negligence, misfuelling or breaking the terms of the hire contract (for example, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs).
Management fees
Damage to the car will be charged by the car hire company once the car has been returned - and will incur a Damage Management Fee in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount.
An Immobilisation Fee is payable and mandatory in the event of an accident. This is in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount and is compulsory. This charge is calculated according to the category of car and the number of days of repair.
In case of damage or theft of the car, the rental company will charge you the administration fee. If you pay for damage/theft by credit card, you will be charged an additional administration fee.
When the rental is complete, customers must return to the station to get their security deposit back. The security deposit must be returned on the same card used for pickup.
Accepted payment types at the company's cash desk
Accepted Credit Cards
The driver must have a Credit Card in his/her name to pick up the vehicle. The card must have the necessary funds for the security deposit (which will be held on the credit card for the duration of the rental). The card will also be needed to charge local fees, extra equipment or anything extra you add to your rental locally.
Rules regarding payment cards
If you pay by credit card, your bank may charge you international transaction fees.
Payment cards used at the rental counter must be in the name of the main driver (the person named on the booking).

Digital driving licences will not be accepted.
If you have renewed your licence and only the renewal date is shown, you will need to provide proof of the original date of issue.
All drivers must have held a driving licence for at least 12 months.
It is the responsibility of each driver to find out what paperwork is required before driving in another country. For example, you may need a visa and/or International Driving Permit in addition to your driving licence.

Additional documents
Rules for identity cards
You will need to produce one of the following: (a) airline boarding pass, (b) train ticket or (c) ferry ticket. These must be for your return journey and must show the time and date of your departure.
Coupon / Electronic Coupon
Upon pick-up, the car rental company will require a printed copy of the customer's voucher or eVoucher. If this is not presented, the car rental company may not allow the customer to pick up the car, or may charge them again for the rental.
When you booked your car, you booked it for a specific make and model "or similar" ("similar" means same gearbox, similar size, similar engine, etc.). The staff at the counter may provide a different car - not the exact make and model you were expecting.
Arrival Details
In case of arrival by plane, the car rental company will need your arrival flight number at least 3 days before the scheduled start of your rental. If you do not send your flight number, the car rental company cannot be held responsible if your flight is delayed and consequently your car is not available. Make sure you fill in your flight number and not any other number that the airline may have sent you, such as your confirmation number.
If your flight is delayed, please call the rental desk during business hours.
Insurance, Coverage and Exemption from the obligation to deposit
Insurance information
All rental cars must have Damage (CDW) and Theft (TP) insurance. Each insurance:
Damage Insurance (CDW)
If your car's bodywork is damaged, the maximum amount you will pay for repairs covered by Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) insurance will be the amount of liability for damages. This cover applies provided you comply with the terms of the rental agreement. It does not cover other parts of the car (e.g. windows, wheels, interior parts, lower chassis) or charges (e.g. for towing or for the length of time the car is out of use) or for anything else in the car (e.g. child seats, GPS devices or personal belongings).
Theft cover
If the car is stolen, the maximum amount you will pay for replacement costs covered by the policy will be the amount of theft liability. This cover applies provided you comply with the terms of the rental agreement.
Third party liability (TPL)
Covers the driver's liability for any injuries and property damage included in the insurance. It does not cover injuries to the driver or damage to the rental car. This cover only applies if you comply with the terms of the rental agreement.
Loss or damage
If the car is stolen, or seriously damaged, or damaged in an accident where someone else is involved, please contact the rental company and the police immediately. If you are unable to provide the necessary documentation from the police, you will be responsible for the full cost of replacing/repairing the car. If the car is slightly damaged and no one else is involved, please contact the rental company immediately.
The car rental company is not responsible for loss/theft/damage to any item in the car, during or after the rental.
Damage to the car will be charged by the car hire company once the car has been returned - and will incur a Damage Administration Fee in addition to the amount deducted from the liability amount.
The cover (CDW & TP) of the rental car does not include
Loss / theft / damage to: keys, antennas, jack, triangles and safety vests, windscreen wipers, fuel tank cap, luggage covers or any other fixed or moving part of the car .

Fines
Any charges or fines, such as tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and traffic fines, are your responsibility.
